As of June 1, 2017 there’s a new way to apply to California State Universities.
Whether you’re applying as a freshman or a transfer student the new website to apply to
the California State Universities is https://www2.calstate.edu/apply. The previous application site was called CSUMentor.edu, this site is no longer functioning as of May 26, 2017.
Below are the most important updates to be aware of as you prepare to apply to the CSU:
- There’s now one single application for all 23 CSU campuses. Many prospective students want to apply simultaneously to more than one campus, something that was time-consuming to do with the previous application. Now you can select any and all campuses you want your application to be sent to simultaneously.
- Applying to EOP is now part of Cal State Apply. For more than 40 years, the CSU’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) has worked to improve access to higher education and opportunity to low-income and educationally disadvantaged Californians, most of whom are first-generation college students. By integrating the application to EOP into the application for admission, the CSU hopes to make more eligible students aware of the program. (Learn more about applying to EOP in the EOP Application Book, 2017-18.)
- ACT and SAT scores are automatically sent. If you’re an incoming freshman who has taken the ACT or SAT, your test results will be distributed to all CSU campuses to which you’ve applied – so there’s no need for you to send the scores to each school’s admissions office.
